Standing on the jumping edge,
Thinking of all the good, the bad and plain funny times I had,
Most were my friends and then there was you
My secret wish of my heart,

We are friends,
Not to say the least but you are my friend
Tales of my heart sang as you and I talked
So many times I wished to tell you all there is to me,
But my heart just seemed to get the best of me
Maybe yes,
Maybe no you might not think of me in that way

Standing on that jumping edge,
Closing my eyes to think
Sound of cars and lights blocked my thoughts
Do I jump?
Or should I go back to you?

When you found out I couldn’t look you in the eyes,
Seems my heart just broke from your words
My girlfriends think I should just talk to you,
And if I don’t they would kill me so
Again my heart gets the best of me,
And here I am talking to you once again
Will it be the same?
Or just some screwed up game?

Standing on that jumping edge,
Opening my eyes with my final thought
But to my surprise that thought is now something different
Looking back I see the hand that stopped me,
You were the one to stop me

Looking at your face of worry I step away,
Showing you I was truly sorry
You finally smile,
And now I see
No matter what,
I will always have someone looking out and loving me.
